About the Riebeek Valley Olive Festival

Started in 2000, the Riebeek Valley Olive Festival is one of the most popular lifestyle festivals in the Western Cape. With 8 participating venues, it is also the biggest olive festival in the country.

If you are an olive enthusiast, then this is the only place to be. Award-winning olive oils, olives, tapenades and soaps are just a few of the olive products available in the valley. Do not leave town without visiting the Golden Olive triangle Kloovenburg, Het Vlock Casteel and the Olive Boutique for olives galore.

No lifestyle festival is complete without a selection of good wine and our wineries and local cellars will not disappoint. Tantalise your taste buds with unique and sought after wines from the Swartland terroir. Visit Allesverloren, Meerhof, Pulpit Rock, The Riebeek Valley Wine Co, Het Vlock Kasteel and Kloovenburg for delicious wines to enjoy on the day or an array of wines to take home with you.

The Riebeek Valley has grown immensely and is about so much more than just wine and olives. It is now home to two Craft Breweries – Flagship and Garagista.

To say that the Riebeek Valley is known for its fine dining is an understatement. Spoilt for choice, we have a variety of award winning restaurants. Be sure to book to avoid disappointment. Click here for contact info.

In true hospitable Swartland style, visitors will be welcomed and entertained at all participating wineries and venues. Each venue has a different flavour and selection of products and also offers a festival vibe with stalls, live music and entertainment for children.
